Pumpkin is the undisputed leader of the autumn menu. Discovered by Christopher Columbus during his voyage to America, at first it appeared in Western Europe, and over time it also made its way to Polish tables. In Silesia, it is known as a Bania.
Farma Różnorodności from Wisła Wielka specialises in the processing of vegetables and fruit, the cultivation of which does not use chemical plant protection products and fertilizers. Pumpkin preserves play a special role in the farm's operations.
Wiślańska Bania is one of the most surprising items found among these homemade preserves. The flavour of the pumpkin combined with the orange was enhanced with a hint of vanilla. It fits perfectly as an accompaniment to waffles, pancakes and sweet breads, but also proves to be a treat eaten solo.
